Sana Maqsood

Sana Maqsood is a UX design leader based in Brooklyn, New York with 10+ years of experience shaping digital products, scaling teams, and driving multimillion dollar business impact. Sana is a Lead UX Designer at Amazon and a Professor of Design at New York University, where Sana teaches graduate UX and emerging technology courses.

Sana’s work spans large scale commerce and fintech platforms as well as interactive installations that respond to biosignals and embodied states through brainwave driven interaction. Sana has previously worked at Afterpay, Thomson Reuters, NASDAQ, and First Republic Bank, designing complex systems used by customers and businesses at scale.

Sana is the founder and creative director of SOOD, a gender neutral jewelry brand featured in Vogue, Glamour, Elle, and Vanity Fair, and Sana is an active mentor and public speaker in the global design community.
