Michael McKay

Michael McKay works at the intersection of product leadership, innovation practice, and executive transformation. He's held leadership roles at Amazon, PayPal, LEGO, and Novo Nordisk, as well as early-stage and fast-scaling startups.

Throughout his career, he's operated where product direction, organizational culture, and technological ambition meet. He's led UX and product transformation at scale, taken on culture and product leadership in complex change programs, and helped organizations rethink how they build in moments of disruption—from agile transformations to AI-driven shifts. Today, through McKay Consulting, he advises CTOs, CPOs, and executive teams on product strategy, portfolio coherence, and leadership in the age of AI.

His work aligns human-centered discovery with technological acceleration—ensuring organizations build the right products, not just more products. He teaches design strategy and product leadership at the Royal Danish Academy and business academies, and mentors innovation and product leaders across industries. He moves comfortably from the workshop floor to the executive room—connecting narrative, product, and leadership into one coherent direction.
